An armed robber has died in an accident while fleeing with a stolen vehicle he and other gang members snatched from a woman in Katsina State.
It was gathered that the robber and his colleagues had on Wednesday stormed the house of the owner of the vehicle and took the vehicle after robbing the woman of other valuables.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammadu Wakili, who confirmed the incident, said the corpse of the suspect was later found inside the vehicle where it was involved in a lone accident.
The CP said:

“The police team swung into action and while moving towards the scene of the robbery, the policemen sighted a vehicle with the said description at an accident scene adjacent to GRA Jumamat mosque.
“The only occupant, suspected to be one of the robbers, died in the accident.”
Wakili said investigation revealed the identity of the robber, which led to the arrest of other three suspects who were in police custody.
He gave the names of the suspects as Sanusi Abdullahi, 22; Mansur Abdullahi, 21; and Aliyu Salisu, 22.
“Salisu was caught with another stolen vehicle, a Honda CRV with Nasarawa State number plate, BE 788 NSR. All the suspects will soon be charged to court,” the CP said.
