A Nigerian troll has ignited anger with his inappropriate comments regarding the private lives of billionaire daughters Temi Otedola and DJ Cuppy.
In a tweet that has since been removed, a user known as @Fortunatebackup compared Temi’s family situation to DJ Cuppy’s relationship status, stating,
“Two billionaire pikin, one no see husband marry. The one wey see husband marry no see pikin born.”
The tweet quickly went viral, garnering over two million impressions, leading many social media users to criticize him for his insensitivity.
After facing backlash, @Fortunatebackup posted an apology on X, expressing regret for his statement.
“I’m sorry for my previous tweet about DJ Cuppy and Temi Otedola. I didn’t mean to hurt or offend anyone honestly. My words were thoughtless, and I regret them. I’ve deleted the tweet and going forward I will be more careful with what I say now and in the future,” he wrote.
While some users accepted his apology, others pointed out the need for greater sensitivity when discussing personal lives.
