US rapper Kodak Black detained for cocaine possession

Kodak Black, an American rapper, was arrested for cocaine possession, tampering with evidence, and violating the terms of his probation.

The 26-year-old was arrested in South Florida on Thursday.

The rapper was spotted with drugs nodding off in a Bentley in Plantation at 3 a.m., according to a police statement.

According to NBC Miami, Kodak Black was being held at the Broward County jail but was allowed to leave on Thursday night.

It’s worth noting that Black’s 46-month prison sentence for falsifying information on federal forms to purchase firearms was commuted by former US President Donald Trump.

The rapper was previously convicted of grand theft of a firearm, marijuana possession, child negligence, and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.

For these charges, he was sentenced to seven months in a Florida prison. He had previously been charged with armed robbery, sexual assault, breaking his probation, having weapons, and escaping law police.
