An American woman, who has taken refuge in Pakistan, has expressed her willingness to return to New York if sufficient funds are raised for her travel expenses.
Onijah Andrew Robinson, aged 33, traveled to Pakistan with the intention of marrying a 19-year-old individual she met online. However, she subsequently demanded $100,000 from the government after his parents opposed the relationship.
Robinson was observed camping outside the residence of 19-year-old Nidal Ahmed Memon following the family’s disapproval of the alleged romance. After the family reportedly vacated the area, she held press conferences to articulate her ambitious plans for the country.
“My plan is to rebuild this entire country. I’m asking for $100k, and I need $20k in cash by the end of this week. That’s my demand from the government.”
A man identifying himself as her son, Jeremiah Robinson, disclosed that she is afflicted with a “mental bipolar disorder” and that efforts are underway to facilitate her return home.
