- Social media activist VeryDarkMan has sharply criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, claiming his administration has not effectively dealt with the ongoing attacks by suspected herdsmen throughout the nation.
- He cautioned that if the violence continues unchecked, it could lead to a significant religious conflict.
- VeryDarkMan expressed disappointment that, despite numerous warnings, the violence continues while both the media and government remain indifferent.

VeryDarkMan, a well-known social media activist, has launched a fierce critique against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accusing his government of neglecting the ongoing violence from suspected herdsmen across the country. He warned that this unchecked violence could escalate into a serious religious conflict.
In a video he shared on Instagram on Saturday, the activist criticized the government’s silence regarding the killings, particularly in states like Benue and Edo, where recent attacks have resulted in many deaths. He expressed his frustration over the authorities’ apparent unwillingness to confront the crisis directly.
He also took issue with the administration for focusing on other security matters, such as declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State, while seemingly ignoring the increasing insecurity caused by herdsmen. He cautioned that if swift action is not taken, the situation could spiral out of control.
“Today is your birthday, Mr. President, but I cannot wish you a happy birthday because you don’t wish your people well,” he said. “If you did, you would understand that this herdsmen issue is slowly gaining strength, and very soon, it might turn into a religious war in Nigeria.”
“It feels like the government is afraid of this herdsmen issue,” he stated. “They don’t want to talk about it. Now, look at where it is heading. Next thing, it will turn into a religious war because Northerners are claiming that Muslims are being killed. And for some reason, the media is silent on this matter.”
“Jungle justice is never the way. No matter how painful the situation is, I will never support it,”
“Be careful. This thing will lead to a religious war very soon. We are slowly approaching it,” he warned.
