Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God is making headlines on social media X, which used to be called Twitter. This follows reports that link him to the arrest of Tiktoker Olumide Ogunsanwo, known as Sea King, over claims of cyberbullying. A critic on social media expressed his concerns about the situation.

VDM, in a trending video on social media, criticized the use of police to detain people over defamation charges.

The critic, however, lambasted Seaking for demeaning Pastor Adeboye despite his age, sharing a video of Seaking calling the pastor a ‘useless boy.’

VDM remarked that no one could tolerate such blatant disrespect, emphasizing that Adeboye was old enough to be his grandfather.

“Calling him a useless boy, someone of that age, is crazy, I don’t want to know the level of activism,” he said.

Sharing the video, VDM wrote in a caption,

“While we are saying they should free him, we should also condemn this, how you go call PASTOR EA ADEBOYE this, how? Come on na.”

This comes after Omoyele Sowore, publisher of Sahara Reporters, criticized the police in a viral tweet for re-arresting Olumide Ogunsanwo, a controversial Tiktoker, over suspected cyberbullying of Pastor Enoch Adeboye.

Seaking was reportedly arrested following a petition lodged on Adeboye’s behalf by Paul James Adama, representing a Christian association.
