The situation in the Nigerian economy is concerning, and media personality Martins Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM), has criticized the federal government for deceiving the public.
He claimed that the government’s assertion of selling 50kg bags of rice for N40k is a lie, with the real price being more than N70k in the markets.
Verydarkman challenged the government to indicate where these bags could be bought for that price.
He slammed the government for saying it had increased the NYSC allowance to N77,000, even though it was still N33,000.
VDM warned that a day will come when citizens will protest against bad leadership, surprising the leaders.
He noted that when that day comes, no one will announce it in advance, and the government will have to deal with the fallout.

Recently, the media figure shared a video where he asked Nigerians about the skills they want to acquire. After getting some replies, he noted he has N250k available for four individuals.
He invited more people to comment on the skills they wish to learn and to submit their applications, saying he would look through the comments on his Instagram.
