Social critic Vincent Martins Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM), has provided an update on his legal case against singer Folarin Falana, also known as Falz, and his father, Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

In 2024, VDM released an audio recording that supposedly featured the voice of cross-dresser Idris Okuneye Olarenwaju, known as Bobrisky. Bobrisky has stated that he did not serve time in the correctional facility after receiving a six-month prison sentence for naira abuse.

Bobrisky allegedly stated in an audio that he contacted Falz to ask his father to help him secure a better place outside of the regular inmate area. Falz denied this accusation and has filed a lawsuit against VDM.

The social critic remarked that when the Falanas took the case to court, the judge noted that the filing was improper and chose to adjourn the case.

VDM reported that the Falanas aimed to annoy him because they believed he couldn’t afford flight tickets from Abuja to Lagos. However, he claimed he has enough money for both the flight tickets and hotel stays for himself and his lawyers.

He mentioned that the Falanas are not God and that God supports him. He also stated that he fears no one and has lost respect for human rights activists in Nigeria. Regarding Bobrisky’s role in the situation, he claimed that the crossdresser was told to flee so that he would face the backlash for sharing the audio. Still, his main focus was on fighting corruption.
