VeryDarkman Reacts To EFCC Staff Murder By Nigerian Man, Gives Agency Advise On Its Operations

  • Verydarkman has given advice to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on their operations.
    • His comments came after the tragic death of EFCC staff member Assistant Superintendent II Aminu Sahabi Salisu.
    • According to the EFCC, Ikechukwu was thought to be part of suspicious online medical supply operations and other internet fraud schemes.

Media figure Vincent Martins Otse, known as Verydarkman (VDM), has given advice to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on their operations.

His comments came after the tragic death of EFCC staff member Assistant Superintendent II Aminu Sahabi Salisu, who was killed by a Nigerian named Joshua Chukwubueze Ikechukwu in Ifite Awka, Anambra state, while attempting to make an arrest.

According to the EFCC, Ikechukwu was thought to be part of suspicious online medical supply operations and other internet fraud schemes. The commission noted that instead of cooperating, he shot at their staff, leading to his death and injuring another individual.

VDM stated that a lot of young Nigerians on social media were glad about the staff’s death because they have reportedly been bullied by some officials of the anti-corruption agency. Consequently, they appear to be okay with the idea of hurting more EFCC staff.

The social critic mentioned that the EFCC needs to change how it tackles crime because many Nigerians are upset with them. He previously believed that only the police were disliked by some Nigerians, but he realized that this feeling also applies to the EFCC.

He suggested that the agency should rely on accurate information instead of entering people’s homes without solid proof. However, VDM criticized those who complained about the hours that some EFCC staff work in people’s homes.

VDM stated that there isn’t enough time to combat crime, and if some individuals are uneasy with the EFCC working at night, new laws should be established to require security personnel to finish their duties by 6 PM.

Verydarkman mentioned that some EFCC agents are doing a good job and have assisted him in retrieving a lot of stolen funds. He remembered helping a woman recover her N36 million, but she only gave the official who assisted her N20,000.

VDM stated that he had to give some money to the EFCC official to encourage him. He also confronted some internet users who said he was working for the government. Moreover, he mentioned that he has helped many people get their money back without asking for anything in return. Therefore, he cursed anyone who shared false information about him, claiming that no one can cancel him in Nigeria, not even President Bola Tinubu.
