Martins Vincent Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan on social media, has spoken extensively about Ailing actor, Mr Ibu’s wife’s battle with her stepsons and his adopted daughter, Jasmine, over the millions donated for his treatment.
Stella arrested Jasmine and Ibu’s sons for stealing N300m from the money earmarked for his treatment, according to actress Doris Ogala.
Jasmine and the others in her team were allegedly detained at Alagbon station in Lagos after Mr Ibu’s wife called out Jasmine, accusing her of fraud and embezzlement.
Doris Ogala further stated that the actor’s wife had previously demanded that a new house be purchased for her from the monies raised for her husband’s treatment.
Verydarkman, who has been deeply involved in Mr. Ibu’s health journey by campaigning for donations and making hospital visits, has now taken to Instagram in a fast response.
In this video, he delves into the reported arrest, injecting his perspective into the evolving narrative.
Verydarkman expressed his surprise that the donations accumulated for Mr. Ibu’s well-being had risen to N300 million.
He was perplexed by the family’s decision to keep this important information hidden from the public while continuing to receive money.
Verydarkman noted in his research that the family’s move to recover N300 million means that overall donations had topped half a billion naira.
He asked his supporters to stop donating, emphasising that such a sum should be sufficient for Mr. Ibu’s healthcare, and warned against unwittingly benefitting the family through the continued contribution process.
Mr. Ibu’s family, particularly his wife, appears to prioritise the donated monies over the well-being of the injured actor, according to Verydarkman.
He promised not to use his platform to raise funds for the time being, but left the door open for a future change of heart.
