Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has caught the eye of activist Vincent Otse, also known as VDM, after he publicly apologized to singer Burna Boy.
Earlier, it was reported that Speed Darlington was missing, as a friend mentioned they hadn’t heard from him for several days.
Eventually, it was revealed that the rapper had been arrested. On October 9th, Speed Darlington, also called Akpi, was released from police custody thanks to lawyer Deji Adeyanju’s help.
Following his release, he made a public apology through his legal team, clarifying that his statements were for entertainment and not meant to damage his colleague’s name.
Speedy’s apology surprised many, and VDM’s support for the rapper’s accountability was a notable reaction.
VDM said:
“Way to go bro C if as a man you feel you Dey wrong apologize and move on if you feel say you Dey right after all plus and minus the fk their feelings and stand firm….nice one speedy na man you be.”
