Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan, professionally recognized as VDM, has confirmed that Don Jazzy was the individual who transferred N100 million to his NGO account.
This announcement was made public today, October 17, 2024, through his verified Instagram account, a platform dedicated to photo and video sharing.
Previously, Intel Region reported that VeryDarkMan expressed his surprise at receiving a donation of N100 million from an anonymous benefactor, which subsequently increased his NGO account balance to N170 million.
He has called upon Nigerians and Zenith Bank for assistance, emphasizing his lack of knowledge regarding the donor and clarifying that he is not involved in any fraudulent activities.
In light of these events, VeryDarkMan mentioned that he had reached out to various individuals who might have sent such a substantial amount, but his inquiries yielded no results, as they all denied involvement.
Eventually, he received a message stating: “Morning bro. Just saw your post. Na me send 100m to support. I believe in what you are doing and trust you to be as transparent as you have always been. We really need that in our country. I wish you all the best with the project and more blessings to you. E no easy.”
VeryDarkMan revealed that this message was from Don Jazzy, whose full name is Michael Collins Ajereh. He shared the text message and the accompanying receipt in a video. He further expressed his astonishment, stating that he could hardly believe that Don Jazzy would donate such a significant sum to him.
VDM established the NGO account with the primary aim of supporting children in public primary schools who lack access to quality education, underscoring the importance of a solid educational foundation for their future.
He also pointed out that this initiative would generate employment opportunities for graduates, who would serve as teachers for these children, thereby addressing the increasing trend of graduates resorting to less desirable jobs.
He launched the NGO on Saturday, July 12, 2024, and by July 13, 2024, he had already raised N21 million. In total, within less than a week, he has achieved remarkable fundraising success.
T”ILL NOW I CANT BELIEVE IT…..ONE HUNDRED MILLION NAIRA left an account just like that,as you have supported this cause to bring better basic education for our public schools children may God bring long life and Good health to you and your household,i sincerely have a lot to say to you sadly I can’t even express the joy I feel inside,GOD BLESS YOU BROS,please join me to say a prayer for him❤️ #RATELMOVEMENT.”
