Controversial social media commentator Martins Vincent Otse, often known as Verydarkman (VDM), has sparked outrage online with a recent video posted to his social media handle. In the popular video, Verydarkman offered his genuine thoughts about Nigerian politicians and their relationship with the citizens.
VDM stated that he avoids calling out or criticizing Nigerian politicians. He added that he has decided to avoid the nuances of Nigerian politics because he believes the average Nigerian is not yet ready to be set free from their chains. His remarks elicited a wide range of responses, with some agreeing with him and others criticizing his political stance.

He made it clear that the criticism is not motivated by kindness or a genuine desire for improved administration. According to VDM, Nigerians criticise their politicians out of jealousy. VDM observed that most Nigerians wish they were in the positions held by their politicians, not to do good, but to steal and enjoy the benefits that come with being in positions of authority.
