Dr. Abel Damina, the fearless leader of Abel Damina Ministries International (ADMI) and CEO of Kingdom Life Network (KLN), has caused a stir in the gospel music world with his fiery sermon. He accused Nigerian gospel artists of behaving like their secular peers by charging high prices for their shows.
His strong words have been highlighted by the contentious social media personality, Martins Vincent Otse, or Verydarkman (VDM), who is aggressively opposing gospel singer Mercy Chinwo.
VDM, known for being direct, recently called out Mercy Chinwo. He alleged that the video she released about her ex-manager, Ezekiel Onyedikachukwu, aka Eezee Tee, concerning embezzlement and royalties was purposely edited to gain public sympathy.
In a recent video, he has strengthened his viewpoint and provided evidence from a recording of Pastor Abel Damina, who explicitly stated that gospel singers are like secular artists like Davido, Wizkid, and Tiwa Savage.
The bold preacher didn’t hold back his feelings, complaining that gospel artists ask for very high payments, just like Afrobeats superstars, even though they present themselves as God’s ministers.
After playing the video, VDM went on the offensive against Mercy Chinwo and her supporters. He dismissed the rumors that he was bribed to attack her and challenged her fans to dispute his claims, which he firmly believes are the undeniable truth.
