Veteran actor Yemi Shodimu expressed his frustration on social media about the recent rise in petrol prices and the ongoing shortage.
He shared that he paid N1,000 for each litre of petrol.
In a TikTok video, he sang a modified song, thanking God for being able to purchase 30 litres for N30,000.
“I thank God I was able to buy fuel. I thank God I was able to get fuel. N30, 000 for 30 litres,” he sings.
“Are we seriously okay?”
Recall that the government raised petrol prices after ending the fuel subsidy in 2023.
However, on September 3, the NNPC raised its petrol price to N855 per litre at its stations.
Some other stations are charging as much as N1200 per litre, and Nigerians are preparing for a nationwide protest.
