Gentleman Mike Ejeagha, a veteran Nigerian singer, sheds tears of joy after hearing the talk about a song he released in 1986 has resurated and gone viral courtesy of skit maker, Brain Jotter.
The highlife song ‘gwo gwo gwo ngwo’ was released 38 years ago and was certainly lost to history until it was rediscovered a few days ago by Brain Jotter.
It all started when Brain Jotter, a well-known content creator, used it in one of his skits to create a dance challange that synchronized with the music sound.
On Instagram, the skitmaker’s debut video using Gentleman Mike Ejeagha’s song had the most likes, with 659,000, while Tiktok received over 11 million views.
The music, along with Brain Jotter’s dance, has now gone viral, and it is now visible throughout Nigeria as well as in other Asian nations.
Since the song went viral, other content creators have paid tribute to Mike Ejeagha, as seen by a video in which the elderly man breaks down in tears.
A TikToker, @anyigoldtv, presented the man with an envelope reportedly holding money while informing him of the success of his new song.
It was an emotional time for the highlife vocalist, who prayed and expressed gratitude for the effort made to reach her.
