According to reports, more than 95 pupils from the Eregi Girls Secondary School have been hospitalized at various hospitals as a result of an epidemic of an unidentified ailment that has left them unable to walk as shown in a viral video of female students trying to walk in Kenya.

According to a report by NTV Kenya, the students were admitted after they were diagnosed with a disease that left their limbs paralyzed.

According to management-released statistics, 29 students are currently receiving care at Iguhu Hospital, 39 at Kakamega Referral Hospital, 31 at Mukumu Mission Hospital, and 14 at Shibwe Hospital.

The condition that has caused the students to lose feeling in their legs, according to a nurse who requested anonymity, is thought to be an electrolyte imbalance.

She described how the majority of the students appeared to be affected by the illness, which is characterized by fluid loss in the sufferers’ bodies.

“This condition is called electrolyte imbalance, a condition that leads to loss of fluids in the body,” the nurse said.
