Nollywood star Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has joined singer Habeeb Okikiola, or Portable Zazu, to create a version of ‘Ganusi.’

A trending TikTok clip features Ogogo in a studio with headphones, highlighting his talent in music.

The Nollywood actor sang in Yoruba about ‘Ganusi’, a slang popularized by Fuji star K1 De Ultimate.

Ganusi became well-known after K1 De Ultimate faced controversy with some Islamic clerics during his late mother’s Fidau prayer at his grand home in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

The Fuji star was talking to a man while getting ready for prayer and was heard saying “Ganusi” in reference to some Islamic clerics.

Ganusi is a negative Yoruba term for people who show up uninvited to events.

The video has caused a variety of responses. Some viewers enjoy the actor’s playful nature, others are disappointed, and some Muslims are asking for an apology.
