A Nigerian student studying science checked his WAEC results for 2024 and shared his scores on Facebook.
He took the exam at DEPOWA Schools, and the West African Examination Council (WAEC) released the results on August 12. The results indicate that he registered for science subjects.
Austin Chiboy posted his scores in a Facebook group after taking nine subjects. He achieved A1 in civic education, B3 in English, B3 in mathematics, C5 in agricultural science, and C4 in biology.
However, he received E8 in chemistry, C6 in physics, C6 in computer studies, and C5 in catering craft practice.
Austin expressed disappointment that his E8 in chemistry affected what could have been a great overall result.
He said: “My WAEC result. Omo chemistry spoil show.” When asked about the course he wanted to study at the university, Austin said he wanted medicine.
