Singer Yemi Alade has taken to social media to promote her sixth studio album Rebel Queen while simultaneously advocating for a better the government.
The ‘Johnny’ singer took to Instagram on Friday to express her opinion that everyone deserves a better standard of living and the ability to afford basic amenities such as food, water, and electricity.
“Dem-don_crazy or Democracy? We all deserve better standards of living and the means to afford basic amenities of life… Food, water, electricity, etc.,” she wrote.
Yemi Alade’s post comes as Nigerians take to the streets to demand better government.
The 10-day nationwide protest against hunger and bad government began on Thursday, with violence breaking out in various parts of northern Nigeria.

This comes after Nkechi Blessing hung a portrait of herself with singer Davido in her bedroom.
Blessing reacted by accusing Nkechi of disrespecting her man, xxsive, and wondering why she is after Davido.
She wrote:
