Muhammadu Buhari, president of Nigeria has told us that he has given the military the go-ahead to stop the madness called terrorism in the country.
He revealed this in a statement made by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, Buhari while reacting to the recent attacks in Kaduna, Plateau and Sokoto states.
A statement titled, ‘President Buhari condemns barbaric attacks in Kaduna, Plateau and Sokoto, condoles bereaved families,’ he described insecurity in the country as “madness.”
Remember that terrorists kidnapped at least 50 persons in Damari, Birnin-Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Monday; sent hundreds of dwellers out of the community.
Eighteen persons were also reportedly killed after bandits and members of vigilante groups clashed in the Wase Local Government Area of Plateau State on Monday.
The president consoled Nigerians who lost their loved ones in the recent terrorist attacks.
Garba Shehu also said that President has reviewed the situation and promised to provide the states with all possible support from the federal government.
“We have given security forces full freedom to deal with, and bring to end this madness.”
“I condemn these barbaric attacks on the country. I wish to assure the states of all possible support from the government of the federation.
“My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly”, said the President.
