Bank Alat, an up-and-coming Nigerian artist, has stated that he and Afrobeats icon Fireboy DML are longtime friends who have shared difficulties.
On Monday, February 5, he turned to Twitter (X) to celebrate Fireboy’s 28th birthday, reminding him of their time drinking garri together.
The young singer argued that he is entitled to the ‘Peru’ hit maker’s money and hence deserved to be assisted out of the trenches.
According to Bank Alat, once Fireboy DML rose to prominence, he forgot about him, and as a result, he is still struggling since the music star abandoned him to fend for himself.
He shared a throwback photo of them together and wrote; “Happy birthday Fireboy I remember when you never blow we been dey drink garri together, now you don blow forget me for Trenches I still dey struggle. Omo me I’m entitled to your money oo.”
