Onome Nichole, the daughter of legendary actor, RMD has disclosed how she and her team were taken off a project in Africa because they declared their nationality as Nigerians.
She made this statement on the microblogging platform while replying to a male tweep, Osaretin Victor who seems to have encountered the same experience.
Osaretin Victor wrote;
A friend was going to recommend me for a consulting role in Eswatini but because I am Nigerian it didn’t fly. These are issues people quietly keep in the dark but don’t talk about in the open. Nigerians are not loved across Africa. They’re feared and maybe respected but not loved.
The 35 year old lady slipped to the comment section and wrote;
“We were removed from a project after kickoff in Africa’s “best” country for being Nigerian.” She didn’t disclose the name of the supposed ‘best country’.
