“We’re waiting to hear from Bella Shmurda” – Police claims

The Nigeria Police Force’s PRO, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said they are waiting for details about Mohbad’s death from Bella Shmurda.

According to the police PRO, the information provided by singer Bella Shmurda, a close friend of late rapper Mohbad, will enhance their investigation.

According to Gistlover, rapidly rising artist Mohbad died in a controversial manner on Tuesday. Authorities stated on Thursday that they have launched an investigation into the singer’s death.

The police department has also encouraged anyone with knowledge on the late musician, particularly friends and family members, to come forward.

On Saturday, Kemi Olunloyo, a controversial investigative journalist, set Bella Shmurda a 48-hour deadline to go to the police and speak up.

“Bella Shmurda,”. I’m giving you 48 hours to report to @PoliceNG and speak with @Princemoye1 or to force CID Ikoyi.” she wrote on her X account

Adejobi, a police spokesperson, quoted her message with the comment, “I am expecting to hear from him.”

In an interview, Bella Shmurda stated that Mohbad attempted suicide following a falling out with Naira Marley’s record label, Marlian Music. He also claimed that the late artist was being threatened.
