Popular comedian and musician Bright Okputa, aka Basketmouth, has explained why he shaded music artist Ayo Balogun Wizkid during Davido’s traditional wedding two weeks ago.
Remember how Wizkid ignited outrage with a cryptic tweet after his alleged rival Davido shared his pre-wedding photos online.
Basketmouth responded by expressing how Davido’s wedding had taken over social media while implying that no one cared about Wizkid’s remark, which sparked outrage from many, particularly the Star Boy’s fans.
Basketmouth said in a new video that the tweet in which he criticised Wizkid was a marketing technique since he knew it would cause backlash. The comedian and actor said:
“Wizkid is my guy, what I did was a marketing technique, I knew it was edgy, it would get people talking and it did what I expected it to do, it worked in my favour”.
