Popular lifestyle influencer, Bobrisky Okuneye, addresses the double standard of fans as regards the loss of Wizkid’s dual Grammy nominations.
Bobrisky has weighed in on the criticisms and dragging hurled at Beninese singer, Angelique Kidjo over her Grammy win.
The Benin republic singer beat Wizkid and the Kuti’s to win Best Music Album for ‘Mother Nature’.
Following her win, Nigerians mercilessly dragged the singer for the win.
Majority questioned the type of song she was singing that made her deserving of the award.
Surprisingly, Nigerians heaped praises on her and took her side after she emerged victorious.
The hypocrisy has made Bobrisky lashed out at the public for dragging the legendary singer.
Reacting to the several criticisms, Bobrisky pointed out how they didn’t channel the same energy when she won over Burna Boy in 2020.“
When Angelique Kidjo beat Burna Boy, you all praised her and referred to her as a legend. but today you all are using numbers to discredit her?” he wrote.
A fan wrote in response, “Mumu man … you saw the type of numbers Essence did? The certs globally n you are talking nonsense… Goan cut your preek.”
