Nigerian artist Ahmed Ololade, known as Asake, recently captured significant attention on social media following the viral circulation of a throwback photograph alongside a current image of himself.
A user on X (formerly Twitter), identified as @Olamide0fficial, shared a juxtaposition of the singer’s old and new photographs. The stark contrast between the two images quickly sparked an online conversation.
In the earlier photograph, the artist, famous for his hit “Lonely At The Top,” sported short dreadlocks, a black suede jacket, and black nail polish.
Notably, his skin tone was particularly striking; the YBNL artist appeared to have a lighter complexion compared to his recent images.
Asake’s lighter skin tone in the throwback photo caught the attention of numerous Nigerians, prompting a variety of reactions online.
