Simi, the well-known Nigerian singer and songwriter, has humorously reacted to a fan’s bold marriage proposal on social media.
The “Duduke” singer had her fans laughing when she addressed a brave admirer who slid into her Snapchat DMs with a surprising proposal. The fan confidently wrote, “Na me go still marry you,” which means “I’m the one who will marry you.”
Instead of ignoring the message, Simi who is happily married to fellow artist Adekunle Gold, and they have a 4-year-old daughter named Deja responded with a funny yet sharp comeback. She stated, “When the devil is knocking on the door, you don’t need to open it.”
Her reply has led to mixed reactions from her fans and peers. Some admired her clever way of turning down the admirer while keeping it light, while others found the interaction hilarious.
In other news… Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has dismissed social media claims that he asserted his father must complete an eight-year term.
A viral post suggested that Seyi boldly claimed nothing, not even God, could stop his father from serving two full terms.
The post included the statement, “My Father Will Complete His 8-Year Tenure – Nothing Can Change That. Not Even God.” and implied that Nigerians had the chance to oppose his father before he took office but did not, making any current opposition seem pointless.
In response, Seyi took to Instagram Stories to refute the claim, stating he never made those comments and distancing himself from the post.
