Whitemoney, the winner of BBNaija Season 6, recently discussed his struggles in the music industry on The Echoo Room podcast.
He highlighted how Nigerians don’t appreciate his music style, Kumkum, unlike they did with Davido and Burna Boy before they became famous.
Whitemoney expressed frustration at how his fellow countrymen tend to undervalue talent but are quick to celebrate international recognition.
Despite facing criticism, Whitemoney remains determined to succeed in music and prove his doubters wrong.
“That’s what they did to Burna, David; they don’t believe in their star but when outsiders appreciate you, they will pay times two.
“Just they pray make I no blow because if I blow; I’m a star in my lane. Nobody rivals my talent; you’re good in your way, I am the king; that’s why I have my own genre,” he stated.
