Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant Nelly has denied stealing 24-karat gold jewelry from her fellow housemate Chinwe.
On Tuesday night, Chinwe accused Nelly of theft when her boyfriend, Sooj, found the jewelry in her laundry bag and returned it to chinwe.
Speaking with Kassia on Wednesday morning, Nelly denied any involvement in the crime and claimed she had no idea how the jewelry ended up in her luggage.
She revealed that, while she was prepared to take serious action in response to the accusation, Sooj advised her discuss it privately with Chinwe.
Nelly expressed her frustration, saying, “I was expecting the same energy from her this morning that she had last night. But when she saw me, she didn’t say anything.” She continued, “I looked her in the eye, and nothing happened. She called me a thief to my face, and if we didn’t resolve it, I would have reacted. Why call me a thief? Is she out of her mind? She should report it to Biggie; the cameras are everywhere and will show what happened.”
The CCTV did not record the confrontation between Nelly and Chinwe, only their chat as it ended.
During their discussion, Nelly appeared to be apologizing to Chinwe, however it was unclear whether the apology was for the alleged theft or something else.
Nelly concluded, “We’re okay, right? I’m sorry about it.”
Chinwe responded, “Yeah, it’s okay, it’s okay.”
