Talented Nigerian actor, Yul Edochie has beckoned on the Nigerian government to release the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, and Sunday Igboho, Yoruba Nation agitator.
The seasoned role interpreter, in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, begged the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to employ dialogue in their cases to establish peace and unity in the country.
His post read: “I appeal to the Federal Government to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and Sunday Igboho and follow the line of dialogue and peace
“A country that already has so many challenges facing it, the use of dialogue in this issue will go a long way in establishing peace and unity.”
Recall that Kanu was arrested in July 2021 in Kenya and was repatriated to Nigeria to continue his trial.
Last week, the Nigerian government re-arraigned him before Justice Binta Nyako of an Abuja Federal High Court.
On the other hand, Sunday Igboho is facing trial in Benin Republic after he was arrested while attempting to travel to Germany.
The agitator and his wife left Nigeria, after the Department of State Services, DSS, declared him wanted over guns found in his house.
