The President and Governors elected in the 2023 general elections were sworn in across Nigeria on May 29th (Democracy Day).
Davido, on the other hand, astonished many when he stormed Abia State and performed at the inauguration of Labour Party’s Alex Otti.
While many assumed he was paid to attend the event, Davido has stated that he did not get any compensation for his appearance.
Davido’s disclosure came after a netizen identified as @Sports_Doctor2 wrote:
“Many don’t know but Davido is Dr. Alex Otti’s godson and he’s in Umuahia at the inauguration after-party where he’s giving a full performance.

It’s a full-blown show in Umuahia 🔥🔥🔥.”
Replying, another tweep asked if the performance was free.
“Na free performance??,” the user asked.
Responding, Davido confirmed that he didn’t get a dime. He added that he has known Alex Otti all his life.
“Not a dime I’ve known Excellency all my life … and I’m sure he will do well for the people of Abia state,” the music star averred.
