Why I Don’t Respond To My Critics – Bishop Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo, Senior Pastor of the Living Faith Church, has revealed the reason why he does not respond to his naysayers regardless of what they have said about him.

According to Bishop Oyedepo, once he availed himself to the call of God, he has learnt to overlook so many things people say about him as he explained that if he decides to fight them, they would come back to him in the end to beg for forgiveness to get jobs again.

Recall that Pastor Tunde Bakare recently threw a subtl jab at Bishop Oyedepo when he said that the latter should not make much noise about his private jet since no one envies him over his possessions.

Oyedepo was also slammed by the media when he sacked some pastors who were not adding up to the growth of the church.

Oyedepo made the disclosure when he preached a sermon in the church

Oyedepo said, “When I’m doing the things of God, how they feel is irrelevant. I’m privileged to be one of those who sustain the media houses in Nigeria because when they publish what I say, people buy it.

“I can’t fight them because if I fight them and they close down those houses, then I will be praying for them to get a job again. I’m having a good time having them market my sayings rightly or wrongly. It keeps a number of media places going.

“Hearing, I rejoice. Saying it is stupid, yet we are rising. Disgracing; impact is growing. (They say) We are all mad people; thank you, we are making it. And only fools doubt fools.”
