Controversial self-identified sex therapist, Hauwa Mohammed, widely recognized as Jaruma, has revealed the reasons behind her marriage.
According to Gistlover, Jaruma entered into matrimony with Ross Fahad Isabor in 2018, a union that ended in divorce in 2021, and they share a child together.
In a discussion on the ‘Issues and Society’ podcast, Jaruma explained that her decision to marry stemmed from the significant criticism she faced from individuals in the northern region for marketing aphrodisiacs while being unmarried.
“There was massive criticism from the north because I was selling sex products as a single lady. They wondered why people allowed a single lady to teach them what happens in the bedroom for lots of money.
“It wasn’t easy at all. The sex industry is a multi-billion industry, I have made N760 million in 3 years. So I thought the industry would not die and I have a booming business so I can’t just leave because of the heat I was going through.
“I just said if marriage is the problem, let me just do it. I didn’t get married because of love, I got married a month after meeting my ex-husband just to get away from the pressure I got from the north.
“He knew it was not for love but pressure because I told him.”
It is noteworthy that in 2022, Ross Fahad Isabor publicly urged Jaruma to refrain from using his name to promote her “fake products.”
