Gospel artist Ebuka Songs has finally addressed the circumstances surrounding his departure from Moses Bliss’ record label, Spotlite Nation.
Initially signing a three-year contract, Ebuka left the label after only 11 months. In December 2024, Moses Bliss commented on the matter, indicating that Ebuka had opted to pursue an independent music career.
In a recent interview on the Open Up podcast, Ebuka shared that his choice was motivated by a commitment to concentrate on his ministry.
“I will always be grateful for Moses Bliss’ role in my life because, at that time, I had the anointing and gift, but I didn’t know how to go about it professionally.
“I am grateful for the journey that I have been through, but at this point, the next level is to focus on my ministry. And we are in a good space.”
Ebuka also elaborated on his decision to remain silent regarding his departure, noting that he wished to prevent unnecessary speculation.
“The reason why I kept quiet about my exit or didn’t say anything since that time is because I didn’t want it to generate more conversations. We all get to the point where we just want to focus on the next phase of our lives, and for me, that is the assignment of God upon my life,” he added.
Despite his separation from the label, Ebuka reassured his fans that there are no hard feelings between him and his former team, affirming that he is in a good position as he advances in his ministry.
