Tunji ‘Tjay’ Adeniji-Soji, a former Big Brother Naija season nine housemate, has explained why he left his pregnant wife at home to go on the show.

Tjay, a 33-year-old medical doctor, was recently evicted with Handi and Shaun. During his fourth week on the show, he and his wife had twin boys.

Speaking to press, the reality star described his decision to participate in the show as “difficult” for him and his wife.

Tjay confessed, “It was difficult for both of us.” “I thought the show would air after delivery, but the pregnancy timeline changed.”

He stated that despite her initial worries following their lengthy talk, she gave him the go light to compete in BBNaija. TJay says:

“She said ‘okay, fine there is no point really going backwards now’, although it was very difficult for her. She just preferred me to focus on my dream. She also said she was going to sort things out,”

The reality star also said that his wife received enormous support from friends, family, and fans while he was on the show. TJay added:

“But I mean she had a lot of help, I would not lie, she had lots of help.

“A lot of fans reached out, my friends supported us, family was also there. So she was not in any way unsupported or lonely. Like I said, I always like to praise women who support their men in their dreams, it is what my wife did and it is an amazing show of strength.”
