Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest, a well-known businessman and socialite, recently explained why he decided to move his business from the South-East to Lagos.
In an interview with BBC Igbo, he mentioned that the insecurity in the South-East was a major factor that influenced his decision to relocate.
Additionally, he pointed out that some locals in the area are involved in aiding and abetting the criminals responsible for these crimes.
“There is widespread hunger in the South-East. It is our own community members who provide criminals with information.
“Our people began targeting the wealthy, so the wealthy stopped returning home during festivities. That’s why I moved to Lagos to conduct my business.”
