  • The star of ‘Fast and Furious’ shared a story of squandering a fortune on luxury items, only to lose or have them stolen.

Renowned American actor and musician Tyrese Gibson has expressed his inclination towards imitation bracelets and wristwatches, despite his status as a wealthy celebrity.

In a recent discussion on Breakfast Club Power 105.1FM, Tyrese revealed that he exclusively adorns himself with faux jewelry.

When co-host Charlamagne inquired whether his earrings were authentic, Tyrese candidly responded, “No.” The star of the ‘Fast and Furious’ franchise recounted a time when he had wasted a significant amount of money on luxury goods, only to either misplace them or have them stolen.

The 45-year-old actor further noted that the loss of high-value items resulted in unnecessary stress. He recounted a personal experience of misplacing earrings worth $250,000, underscoring the financial and emotional repercussions of his negligence.

“If it all ends for me tomorrow, I never sold you on fake. None of this jewellery on me is real. Do not love me because of no diamonds. This bracelet looks real but it is $23 on Amazon. Nothing. Hear me out. It does not look fake right? The reality is reality. This sh*t is cunning. It is all fake. It is all superficial. It is nothing,” he said.

“You know why it is not real? Because I have lost so much of this shit. I done spent half a million dollars on a fucking watch. Call Jacob The Jeweler, ni*a. Call all of them. All the most famous, popular jewelers online, they all got my black Centurion (American Express card). That thing goes through. I am good.“I do not lose no sleep over trying to win the popularity contest showing up with all this jewelry that I am going to leave on the nightstand and have a housekeeper that says, ‘I don’t know!’ (laughs). I am sure you do not know where $250,000 earrings is at! I am sure you do not know. That motherfcker would retire two weeks later.

“I have never tried to win a popularity contest. And if I did, I have the contact of every celebrity, director, actor, rapper, you name it, they are all on my phone. I could be as hot as I wanna be.”
