Josh2funny, a popular comedian and skitmaker, has revealed the real reason he stopped dressed like women in his skits.
He spoke in a recent interview to the Honest Bunch podcast.
The comedian claimed that while playing the character of Mama Felicia, he received unwelcome advances from followers.
To avoid additional embarrassment, he stated he decided to ditch the Mama Felicia identity and embrace Brother Zacchaeus instead.
His words;
“You see, difference between me and some other people wey dey do female character, my own was straight comedy. Anybody wey go see me like me no really get sense, no really know where e dey go because I made sure it was stupid,” he said.
“Mama Felicia is a stupid character, it was straight stupid. I had a lot of advances. E get one guy, the guy came to my WhatsApp and was like I really like you, I went straight to him and I said bro I’m going to pray and you’re going to be blind in two weeks, the guy begin beg me. Why you go see me, like me?
“E join why I leave the character. It was Mama Felicia I turned Brother Zacchaeus. Instead of wearing female dress, I had to drop it and start putting on male clothes, using the same accent. It was becoming embarrassing for me because I mean I just want to make people laugh.”
Josh2Funny, real name Josh Alfred, rose to prominence with his viral comedy #DontLeaveMe.
In August 2023, he extended his comedy to the global stage by appearing on America’s Got Talent as one of his skit characters, the “fastest reader in the world.”
