Liya, DMW’s former first lady, has finally revealed why she abruptly left Davido’s record label.
Liya, better known as DMW’s first lady, discussed her resignation from the record label in a recent podcast interview.
Despite the fact that she released noteworthy singles such as “Lakiriboto” and “Melo” while with DMW, she felt that her career was not given the respect it deserved.
This view compelled her to make the difficult decision to drop the label.
Liya claimed that her decision to leave was motivated primarily by her perception that DMW was not giving her career the attention and support it deserved.
She expressed the need to start afresh and carve her own musical path in a different direction.
Despite leaving DMW, Liya still reiterated her admiration for the label’s current roster of artists and their endeavors.
She emphasised her continued support for DMW and its new talents, wishing them well in their musical pursuits.
