Why I’m No Longer Close to Eniola Badmus and Others – Funke Akindele Reveals

Funke Akindele, a Nollywood actress and filmmaker, is speaking up about her professional connections and how she perceives her relationships with colleagues like Eniola Badmus and others. This is what Funke had to say.

During an interview with Arise TV, Funke Akindele was questioned, “How have you managed friendship and relationships? Do you still have the same pals from before you became the Funke Akindele? Success comes with a lot of thorns, jealously, treachery, and backbiting. Have you had any similar experiences?” Funke reacted with:

FUNKE AKINDELE: Friendship? I think my siblings are my friends. They are my friends. I have acquaintances, people that I’m cordial with, but not serious friendships like that. Because I’m always busy working. And when I’m not working, I’m sleeping, chilling with the kids, watching a movie, chilling with the family.

I appreciate being in my own place. I don’t really like attending parties; I’m not a party animal. I do not like it at all. I own a studio; we shoot every year and have stuff on YouTube, in theaters, and on streaming platforms. I am quite busy. So I simply get busy with job and my children because I need to make time for them. So, while I’m not working, I’m with my kids. I’m in my space.

I have good ties with individuals in the business. I like working with certain specific folks. I work with all of my coworkers, but there are a few that are really close to my heart. I have a group of people I call my crew. And I have a good connection with all of my coworkers.

Funke Akindele provided an update on her relationship with Eniola Badmus, whom she was formerly close to. Eniola Badmus makes me chuckle. She cracks me up so much. I really like hanging out with her. However, we have been really busy with our lives. Everyone is doing their thing. But I’m still friendly with her and everyone.

“Cordial”, it sounds like they’re not as close anymore because of work and life responsibilities which is sadly, how most adult friendships are. But what do you think?
