Renowned Nigerian Afrobeats musician Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, often known as Wizkid, has continued to create waves online following his viral tweets on his X handle.
Wizkid recently turned to social media to respond to a viral video of his father, Alhaji Muniru Balogun, walking through the rain in a Lagos street.
In the viral video, Wizkid’s father is dressed in white local attire and wearing a red cap as he walks to his destination with his walking stick.
The video quickly gained popularity on social media, with many comparing the singer’s father to his competitor Davido’s millionaire father, Adedeji Adeleke.
Today, October 2, an X user reposted the video in parody of Wizkid’s family’s financial situation.
Wizkid quickly responded to the user, explaining that his father was walking towards his Toyota SUV jeep from their old home.
He wrote, “U see his SUV in front right?!! he actually likes going back to our old hood to take walks ! see the old people and bless them with something small. That’s the kind of man that raised me!”

The tweet elicited a big response, with social media users sharing their ideas in the comments section.
