Wigwe’s family releases 6-day burial rites for Late Wigwe, wife, son who died in air crash

Herbert Wigwe, the former group CEO of Access Holdings Plc, has died, and his family has recently announced his burial preparations.

Remember the helicopter disaster in the United States earlier this month involving Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, and their kid Chizi?

Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the former chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), was also on board the helicopter, and all passengers were confirmed dead hours later.

According to a schedule issued by the deceased’s family, the Wigwes’ burial ceremony will begin with a celebration of the professional legacy of the former GCEO of Access Holdings at the Eko Hotel in Lagos on March 4, and will culminate with an outdoor service at the Redeemed Christian Church Of God  (RCCG), Lion of Judah Parish, Isiokpo, Ikwerre LGA, Rivers, on March 10.

Chizi and Chizoba’s lives will be commemorated in separate ceremonies on March 5 at the Eko Hotel in Lagos, followed by a night of tributes the next day at the same location.

On March 7, a joint singing service will be performed at the RCCG, Resurrection Parish, Lekki, followed by a Christian wake-keeping at Wigwe University, Isiokpo, Ikwerre LGA in Rivers.

The combined funeral and private interment services are set on March 9.
