Jada Pinkett Smith, the wife of prominent US actor Will Smith, confirmed in a recent statement that she has been separated from her husband since 2016.
Jada Pinkett Smith confirmed this in an exclusive interview with NBC News when replying to an interviewer’s question about her newly released book, “Worthy.”
According to Pinkett Smith, she and Will Smith divorced seven years ago and have been living completely separate lives ever since.
Further, Jada Pinkett Smith states that it was not a divorce on paper, but it was a divorce because they had been separated since 2016.
They are no longer together, according to the artist, but they have maintained the public appearance of a happy married couple.
They have been married since 1997 and have two children, Jaden and Willow. Trey, 30, is the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star’s son with his first wife, Sheree Zampino. Jada thanked her children for their contributions to her development.
Will Smith and Chris Rock had a memorable incident at the 2022 Oscars. Chris Rock made a joke about Will Smith’s wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, during the ceremony, citing her shaved head. Will Smith appeared to be irritated by this remark, as he slapped Chris Rock on stage.
Will Smith has apologized for surprising comedian Chris Rock with a hard punch live on stage at the Oscars award but has been banned from the Oscars gala and other Academy events for 10 years after the US actor slapped comic Chris Rock.
