Nigerian musician Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, created excitement online after receiving a warm welcome in the Dominican Republic ahead of his concert.
The Afrobeats sensation is scheduled to perform at the World Creole Music Festival, happening from October 25-27 at Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Dominica.
Clips of Wizkid’s impressive arrival captivated many social media users who were amazed by the reception he received.
This isn’t Wizkid’s first trip to the Dominican Republic. In 2016, he and Tinie Tempah filmed the music video for their popular song “Mamacita” there.
Upon his arrival, a group of local drummers in cultural attire greeted him at the airport.
