Nigerian music artist Wizkid has matched Burna Boy’s record for the most charting albums by a Nigerian on the Billboard 200.
This achievement comes after Wizkid’s new album, ‘Morayo’, debuted at number 98 on the chart, selling 13,000 units in its first week.
Now, both Wizkid and Burna Boy have four albums each on the Billboard 200.
The music analytics platform Chart Data verified the accomplishment in a message on X.
“Wizkid ties Burna Boy as the Nige inrian artist with the most charting albums in Billboard 200 history (4 each),” the post read.
In addition to its Billboard 200 success, *Morayo* debuted at number 4 on the Billboard World Albums chart.
At the same time, Davido may soon join the ranks of Nigerian artists with four charting albums.
The artist known for ‘Unavailable’ has three albums on the Billboard 200 and is set to release his fifth studio project, ‘5IVE’, next year.
