Chief Munir Balogun, the proud father of Afrobeats star Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, has bravely stepped forward to tackle the growing rivalry between his son and fellow artist Davido

 In a revealing interview with Punch Newspapers, Chief Balogun shared his views on the rising tension and the feelings involved with these two music icons.

With a strong presence, Chief Balogun explained how serious the situation is, urging everyone to stay strong during the chaos of fan rivalries and public criticism.

He shared that he advised Wizkid to overlook the attacks from Davido’s dedicated fans, noting that their intention is often to stir up trouble rather than appreciate the music.

His words;

“I told my son that he shouldn’t look or listen to whatever the boys who are supporters of Davido are saying. The supporters are only looking for what they will say to collect money and all of that.”

Chief Balogun highlighted that engaging with these distractions would only pull Wizkid away from his focus and weaken the artistry that has built his strong international following.

They are just looking for what they are going to eat and I told him not to pay much attention to them,” he added.
