A viral video making the rounds on social media has shown an elderly woman wearing the Biafran regalia sitting on the ground and having an argument with some security operatives.
She told some men who were trying to diffuse the situation that what the soldiers were telling her was unacceptable and went on to state that the security operatives were foreigners as they were not natives of Biafra, hence they had no right to ask her to leave her land.
The woman also noted that one of the officers was threatening to kick her.
This incidentis coming after the arrest of Chiwetalu Agu at Upper Iweka, Onitsha.
Agu was allegedly taken into custody because he was canvassing support for Biafra. However, Chiwetalu said he was not campaigning for Biafra or Eastern Security Network and referred to his attire as the ‘rising sun’.
The army later released him but he was picked up by the DSS hours after for questioning.
Nigerians have however expressed anger at Agu’s predicament, accusing security agents of infringing on his rights.
