Some members of the Indigenous People of Biafra, on Tuesday, June 20, visited their leader Nnamdi Kanu at his hometown in Isiama Afara, Umuahia in Abia state.
At the meeting, some women were seen throwing their wrappers on the ground for Kanu to walk on.
While speaking to a newsman, a member of Kanu’s family who spoke on the incident, said the women saw the visit as an opportunity to honour Kanu for his efforts towards the freedom of Biafra.
“The women came here and they insisted he must walk on their wrapper. They were still talking before you know it, they have thrown the wrappers on the floor,” a lady identified as Sonia said.
