President Buhari’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Shehu Garba, has explained why the President is currently working from his home’s office since his return from a long medical vacation in London.

In a chat with ThisDay, the media aide said that the President’s main office which he left for 3 months, was messed up by rodents who caused damage a lot of damage to the furniture and air conditioning units.

He said, “Following the three months period of disuse, rodents have caused a lot of damage to the furniture and the air conditioning units.”

Though he further said he doesn’t know when the renovation would be completed, however he revealed that the maintenance company had been asked to speed up its pace of work.

This was later confirmed by the president’s Personal Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, who had posted on Twitter;

“Some renovations are on going at the office. He’s a fully equipped office in his residence, he’ll be back to the main office after the works.
